Ada Ann (Creech) Wall
April 21, 1942 – May 2, 2026
Ada Ann (Creech) Wall, formerly of Wakefield, Massachusetts, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Burlington, Massachusetts, after several years with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 84 years old.
Ada was born on April 21, 1942, in Highsplint, Kentucky, to the late George and Margie Creech of Jonesville, Virginia. She graduated from Pennington High School in Pennington Gap, Virginia, in 1960.
Following high school, Ada moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she pursued her passion for nursing at the School of Nursing at Swedish Covenant Hospital. She graduated in 1963 and began her career as a nurse, a profession that reflected her deep compassion and commitment to caring for others.
In 1966, Ada joined the Peace Corps and was stationed in Maimana, Afghanistan. It was there that she met her future husband, John J. Wall, Jr. They married during their service and began a life together rooted in adventure, partnership, and shared purpose.
Ada and John lived in several places over the years, including Iran, Texas, and Massachusetts, before settling in Wakefield, where they raised their family. She devoted herself to her family and community, always creating a warm and welcoming home.
She was known for her kindness, strength, and quiet resilience. Ada was an avid gardener who found peace and satisfaction in caring for what she grew. That same care extended to her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and took great pride in.
Ada is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Patrick Brennan of Peabody, and Maureen Wall and Jonathan Crumrine of Natick; her beloved grandchildren, Lillian and Owen Brennan, and Amelia and Julian Crumrine; her brother, Jerry Creech of Jonesville, Virginia; her sister, Janet Carpenter of Bristol, Virginia; her sister-in-law, Patricia Wall of Claremont, California; her brother-in-law, James Wall of Donaldson, Indiana; and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Wall, Jr., with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ada’s memory to the Alzheimer's Association at https://www.alz.org.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
