Alfred Doucette

Alfred J. Doucette, 87, of Stoneham died on Thursday, September 29 at the Care One in Wilmington.

Born in Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island, Canada on March 9, 1935, he was the son of the late Stanley and Celia (Gallant) Doucette.

Mr. Doucette was raised in Prince Edward Island and moved to the United States in 1959 and settled in Stoneham in 1966. He was a retired custodian for the Stoneham School Department. Mr. Doucette was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Stoneham and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was the husband of the late Joan K. (Aylward) Doucette. Mr. Doucette is survived by his three sons; Michael Doucette and his wife Shani of Stoneham, John Doucette and his partner Sharon of Peabody and Paul Doucette and his wife Elena of Wakefield, his two grandchildren; Wesley and Katie. He was predeceased by his sister Helen Doucette.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Tuesday from 4-7pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Wednesday at 10am followed by an interment at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham.
