Alice was born on July 23, 1929. She enjoyed a full and wonderful life. Born at the end of the Roaring Twenties, she experienced the Great Depression and a World War while growing up with her sisters Margaret, Dorothy, Annabelle and brother John at their 29 Gould Street home. She went to St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Wakefield High School. In addition to raising her five children Alice held varied jobs and was most proud of her career with the Wakefield Public School System and the Department of Public Works. She was a member of the St. Joseph Mothers Club and enjoyed all of the fundraising activities in support of the community. Alice was a joiner, she loved being involved with people and cherished her friends. Be it a bake sale, rummage sale, yard sale, pot luck dinner or bingo she brought a high spirited personality that often led to a humorous or zany story. She was fun.

Alice and John started out in a small apartment on Emerson street before buying a home in Reading Mass. With four sons they moved back to Wakefield buying the family home at 46 Emerson Street, and welcomed a daughter. Later in life they seasoned between their homes in York, ME and Venice FL. Alice moved back to Wakefield to spend her final years at home.

Alice’s son Steven and daughter in law Karen provided her with a loving home and care in her final years. It is with great respect that the entire Fitzpatrick family acknowledges the loving care they provided to our mother.
