Americo Simeone

Americo A. Simeone, 83, of Wakefield died Monday June 2 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late Ralph and Josephine (Pardi) Simeone.

Mr. Simeone was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. He was a W.W. II Navy veteran. He worked in the flooring industry for many years with the Herb Shaw flooring of Watertown and most recently with Simeone Floors of Wakefield. He had been a Wakefield resident since 1950 and was a member of the Crystal Community Club of Wakefield.

Mr. Simeone was the husband of Theresa (Ringuette) and the late Marion P. (Ryan) to whom he was married for 37 years. He was the father of Lynda Walsh & her husband Jeff of Beverly, Richard J. Simeone & his wife Virginia of Reading, Robin Long & her husband David of Lynnfield, Ralph J. Simeone of Wakefield and Robert Simeone & his wife Patricia of Woburn. He was the step-father of Mona Cardinale, Christine Gibson and the late Daniel. He was the brother of Margaret Fabio, Ida Boudreau, Elsie Ennamoarti, Dorothy Gamby and Marily DeVito. Also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Richard, Jacqueline, Jeanna, Kaitlin, Racheal, Joseph, Danielle, Nicole & Sharon.

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave, Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
