Andrew J. Lupien, age 55, of Wakefield passed peacefully on January 13, 2026 surround by his family after a long battle with cancer that he faced with unwavering strength and dignity.
He was born in Malden on June 5, 1970, and was the son of the late James Lupien and Marjorie (Chisholm) Lupien. Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Charlene (D’Alessandro) Lupien.
He was a devoted and loving father to Andrew Lupien and Samantha Lupien, both of Wakefield. Andrew was the cherished brother of Marianne Baker and her husband Keith of Danvers; James Lupien and his wife Kathy of Aiken, SC; Michelle Perry and her husband Al of Plaistow, NH; and Peter Lupien of Haverhill, MA. He was also a dear brother-in-law to Michelle D’Alessandro and her fiancé, Ed Nazzaro, both of Wakefield, and the beloved son-in-law of Joe and Carol D’Alessandro, also of Wakefield. Andrew was a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved deeply and who loved him just as much. He is also survived by his 3 aunts - Carol Chisholm of Pompano Beach, Fl, Adele Lee of Hopkinton, MA, and Barbara Lupien of Scottsdale, AZ.
A proud, lifelong resident of Wakefield who enjoyed all the town’s history. Andrew cherished his early memories playing football and later giving back to the community by coaching Wakefield youth sports, both on and off the field. He was an avid Patriots and Celtics fan.
After graduating from Wentworth Institute of Technology and completing his MBA at SNHU Andrew began his career working at his father’s company, Hydroflow, before going on to a long and fulfilling career as an engineer at Lytron, later known as Boyd Inc.
Andrew’s most treasured moments were those spent with his wife and children, celebrating at family gatherings, and sharing laughs with his lifelong friends. He loved taking his family out to dinner, traveling (with many fond memories in Pompano Beach, FL) golfing, gardening, and simply enjoying life.
With his warm, welcoming personality, Andrew was often the life of the party and made everyone feel at home. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. His spirit and strength will not be forgotten and will continue to live on through his family.
