Anthony J. DeCicco, Jr., age 86 of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16 at Care One in Beverly surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Chelsea on June 25, 1940 and was the son of the late Anthony and Myra (Coffin) DeCicco.
Anthony was raised in Everett and Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School. He was a long time member of the West Side Social Club and the Elks. He was an avid boater and fisherman and enjoyed time on the water with his friends and family. His favorite memories included participating in the Grady White fishing tournaments, family vacations on the boat anywhere from Maine to New York and stops in between, and celebrating the 4th of July. Anthony was also a lifelong New England sports fan and enjoyed attending games. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and grandpets, especially during the holidays.
He was the beloved husband of Karyl (White) DeCicco. He was the loving father of Heather Muse and her husband Daniel of Melrose, and Matthew DeCicco and his wife Rachel of Beverly. Anthony is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler, Nicole, Leah, and Matthew, Jr.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., on Wednesday September 23 at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday prior to the mass from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
