Anthony Onorio, age 72 of Plymouth, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA.

He was born in Tripoli, Libya on November 30, 1952 and was the son of the late Gaetano and Girolama (Ferrante) Onorio.

Anthony grew up in Gloucester, MA and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, Class of 1970. He attended Salem Commercial College in Lynn, MA, Class of 1972. After graduating college, he began his career as an IT professional at American Mutual Insurance Company. He then went on to work at Bank of New York Mellon for 27 years. Anthony’s passion for music throughout his life led him to become a lead vocalist and guitarist for many bands, performing at multiple venues throughout the greater Boston area. Recently, Anthony had joined a new band in Plymouth where they were rehearsing for upcoming gigs. He was also a member of the Saint Joseph Church adult choir for several years where he enjoyed immersing himself in liturgical music.

Anthony had a natural eye for landscape architecture where he designed and created meticulous gardens. He loved opening his home to family and friends and enjoyed cooking original creations. He had an innate ability to bring laughter and joy to all who crossed his path, always quick with a joke.

He was the beloved husband of Diane (Campatelli) Onorio. He was the loving father of Danielle (Onorio) Madanjian and her husband Jason. He is survived by his sister Angela Russo and brother Gabriel Onorio; his sister-in-law Valentina Onorio; and his aunts Franca Levasseur and Luciana Ferrante. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, godchildren, cousins, and numerous friends.

Anthony was predeceased by his son, Eric A. Onorio; his mother and father, Giroloma and Gaetano Onorio; his brother-in-law, Onofrio “Nofrie” J.
