Antonia Carobene

Antonia M . Carobene of Stoneham, age 97 died Tuesday April 20 after a brief illness surrounded by her family. Born in Wakefield on Nov. 2, 1912 she was the daughter of the late Corado & Anita (Accola) Mauceri. Mrs. carobene was raised in Wakefield and had been a resident of Stoneham since 1955. She was retired from the L.B. Evans Shoe Company where she worked for many years. She was a member of St. Florence Church of Wakefield and was devoted to her large and extended family.

Mrs. Carobene was the wife of the late Ross Carobene . She was the sister of Josephine J. Zanotti and her husband Leo of Wakefield and Frances White of Somerville and the late Salvatore Mauceri, Ann Guglietta, Pauline Boccello . She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews as well as many great and great- great nieces and nephews and several cousins. She was also the sister In-Law of Josephine Mauceri of Wilmington.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield Friday at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10:00. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
