Arthur Stackhouse

Arthur D . Stackhouse , age 92, of Wakefield, died Friday, March 4 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Salem on September 21, 1929 he was the son of the late Clarence B. and Marietta (Brewer) Stackhouse .

Arthur was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1948. He proudly served his country during Korea Conflict in the United States Marine Corp. He had retired from Stop & Shop as a truck driver and was also a member of the AFL CIC/Teamsters Union and later worked for the Distributor Corporation of New England.

He was the beloved husband of the late Ruth F. (Donahue) Stackhouse . He was the loving father of David Stackhouse and his wife Susan of Virginia, Claire Stackhouse and husband Dr. James Banks of Maryland, Ruth Kelloway and husband George of New Hampshire, James Stackhouse and wife Sharon of New Hampshire, Mark Stackhouse and wife Linda, Kathleen Murphy and husband Jerome, Amy Jellison and husband Eric all of Wakefield and the late Nancy E. Stackhouse . He is also survived by his 20 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield on Tuesday March 8 at 10:30am. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday March 7 from 4-7pm.
