Barbara Kilkelly

Barbara J. Kilkelly, 67 of Methuen, formerly of Wakefield died Monday June 19, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington.

Born in Somerville, November 25, 1950 she was the daughter of Thelma A. (Ghilardi) Bernard and the late Ernest H. Bernard.

Barbara was a graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School class of 1968 and Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. Following graduation she began her career with W.R. Grace in Cambridge. She worked her way up the corporate ladder and retired from W.R. Grace last year as a manager after 45 years.

Barbara was a member of Bear Hill Golf Club of Stoneham and the North Shore Irish American Association. She enjoyed spending time at her second home on Marco Island, Florida, playing cards, and Rummikub.

Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Kilkelly. The loving daughter of Thelma A. (Ghilardi) Bernard and the late Ernest H. Bernard. She was the sister of Ann Doyle and husband Jack of Littleton and Ernie H. Bernard Jr. and wife Janet of Hampton Beach, NH., the aunt of Kim, Jared, Lee Ann, Erin, and the late Jill Doyle, and the Step-mother of Kerry Anne Ezpeleta, Michael J. Kilkelly Jr., and Patrick Kilkelly. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kaycee, Joshua, Jaylen, Cali, Elizabeth and Owen.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday at 10 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield at 11am. Visitations for relatives and friends will be held on Sunday from 1-4pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
