Christine M. Ringenwald

Christine M. Ringenwald (Zanotti), age 77, lifelong resident of Wakefield, passed away on Tuesday September 1 at her home.

She was born in Melrose on October 12, 1948 to the late Leo and Josephine (Mauceri) Zanotti.

Christine was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1966. She loved driving her 1966 Chevelle, landscaping, doing small projects on her house, and she rescuing cats for PAWS. Christine worked for her family at Leos Restaurant in Wakefield square and later opened Leos Place in Greenwood with her son Mark. She loved being a grandmother

She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Ringenwald. She was the loving mother of Mark Ringenwald of Wakefield, and Gary Ringenwald and partner Ken of Pelham, NH. She was the sister of Paul Zanotti of Wakefield, Janice Clarke of Stoneham, and Leah Zanotti of Los Angeles. Christine is also survived by her grandson Erik Ringenwald of Middleton.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday September 8 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be private.
