DAVID H. FIELDHOUSE

David passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Lafayette Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Marblehead, MA, where he resided for the last 2 years.

David H. Fieldhouse (89) was born on February 20,1937 in Stoneham, Massachusetts to Herbert & Ruth Fieldhouse. He grew up in the Greenwood section of Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School Class of 1955.

David graduated from Cambridge Junior College, where he met his wife, Marilyn L. Malmquist of Dedham. They were married in December 1957 and moved to Stuttgart Germany so David could serve in the US Army. David & Marilyn returned to Wakefield in 1961.

David began his career as an insurance agent in 1961 and later opened an insurance agency, Blue Jay Insurance, Inc. He ended his professional career as a Registered Investment Advisor with Fieldhouse Financial Services, Inc. He retired in 2019 at the age of 81.

David loved people and was known for his good nature and sense of humor. He had a great laugh and smile. He had a twinkle in his eye and could be mischievous. David was an attentive listener and was willing to lend a hand to anyone and everyone in need.

David was a dedicated family man and was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn L. Malmquist Fieldhouse. He is survived by his three children; Linda L. Davis and her significant other John M. Cohen of Marblehead, Lisa A. Qureshi and her husband Ansar Qureshi of Swampscott and Kurt D. Fieldhouse and his wife Jane Fleming of Haverhill. He was a fun-loving grandfather who devoted much time to his nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren

David was a dedicated parishioner serving as a previous Junior and Senior Warden at the Emmanuel Parish Church. He served many years as an usher and enjoyed providing coffee hours after the 8 o’clock church service.

Due to his love of church, he requested in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Parish Church, Five Bryant Street, Wakefield, MA 01880.

A celebration of life will be celebrated on Friday, June 5th at 11AM at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church located at 5 Bryant Street in Wakefield, MA. All are welcome to attend a catered luncheon to follow services in the Parish Hall. Interment will be private at a later date for immediate family only. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
