, 63, of Wakefield formerly of Melrose, died on Wednesday, October 12 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Boston on September 28, 1948 he was the son of the late Glendon and Alice (Lea)
Campbell
.
David
was a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1967 and Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology. He had been a Wakefield resident for the past 36 years. Mr.
Campbell
served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
David
was a self employed Contractor and had also worked at McHale Tile and Carpet in Melrose with his two brothers-in-law Jack and Fred McHale. He was a member of the Melrose Elks Lodge.
David
could always be found in the bleachers watching his daughters playing basketball at Wakefield High School, Babson, and Stonehill Colleges.

is survived by his wife Muriel (McHale)

of Lynn and her fiancée Dominic Boghos, his two brothers; John

of Melrose and Ronnie

of FL, his sister Glenda MacKay of Hebron, NH and his grandchildren; Madison, Ryan, and Joshua. Mr.
Campbell
is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews, and many loving in laws. He was predeceased by his two sisters; Joyce Gibbons and Margaret Welch and his two brothers; Scott

His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield on Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St, Wakefield at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield. Memorial contributions may be made to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Brain Injury Unit, 125 Nashua St, Boston MA 02114.
