Diane E. Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our sweet, beloved sister Diane E. Williams who passed away at the age of 63 on April 9th, 2026. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Diane was born on September 2nd, 1962. She was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Madaleine (Paiva) Williams.

Diane was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School, class of 1980.

Diane knew she found her calling in life the moment she answered that first call as a Lynnfield 911 dispatcher. She loved her job and was so proud to have served her community for 37 years, right up until her passing. Diane cherished the bonds she made and considered everyone she worked with to be her second family. Diane loved the community of Lynnfield and this is where she decided to settle down and buy her home.

Diane is survived by many brothers and sisters: Patricia Cronan and her husband Donald of North Hampton NH, Kathleen Yazinka and her husband Kenneth of Wakefield, Robert Williams and his wife Terri of Wakefield, David Williams of Wakefield, Janet Connors and her husband James of Wakefield, Steven Williams of Wakefield and the late Cheryl Williams.

Family and friends were so very special to Diane. She had a love for her family like no other. She was an aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews and always found a way to make each and every one of them feel like they were her favorite. She had that way about her just as her own mother did.

Diane was passionate about cooking, reading, spending time with family and summers spent on the lake in NH which she loved so much.

Visitation will be held on April 14, 2026 at McDonald Funeral Home at 19 Yale Ave in Wakefield, MA between the hours of 4-7pm.
