Domenic Longo

Domenic , A . Longo , 89, of Stoneham, formerly of Reading died on Sunday, February 3 at the Maplewood Care & Rehab Center in Amesbury.

Born in Boston on November 10, 1923 he was the son of the late Florindo and Alphonsina (Todesco) Longo .

Domenic was a graduate of Boston University. He was a retired U.S. Naval Officer and a veteran of World War II. Domenic had been a resident of Stoneham for 20 years and had lived in Reading prior to Stoneham. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Winchester.

Domenic was the husband of Frances K. (Moriarty) Longo . He was the father of Frank G. Longo and his wife Tricia of Wakefield, and Deirdre K. Longo-LeBlanc and her husband Wayne of Amesbury. He was the brother of Nicholas Longo of Saugus and the late Alfred, and Joseph Longo , Mary Santoro, and Florence Lombozzi. He was the grandfather of Zachary, Justin, Alexandra and Domenic .

A Funeral service will be held in the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the Funeral Home prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will be at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
