Donald F. Fitzgerald

Donald F. “Don” Fitzgerald, age 90, of Peabody, MA passed away on May 25th, 2026 at the Mass General Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born June 16, 1935 he was the son of the late John and Marie (Robicheau) Fitzgerald of Arlington, MA.

Don graduated from Arlington High School and Northeastern University. He was a proud Marine who served in Korea and loved his country. He was on the staff at MIT for 35 years. His later years were spent in Glen, NH and St. Augustine Beach, FL. The last eight years of Don’s life he returned to Massachusetts and settled at Brooksby Village which he enjoyed immensely and had many wonderful friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia (Cardillo) Fitzgerald.

There will be a private family graveside service. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
