Donna L. Dixon

• Donna Louise Scourtas Dixon, 83, formerly of North Reading and a longtime resident of Middleton, Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

• Donna was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on December 29, 1942, to Louis and Geraldine (O’Connell) Scourtas. She graduated from Saugus High School in 1960 and went on to attend Burdett Junior College, graduating in 1962.
• 
  
• Donna was passionate about her career and always followed her interests. In the 1980s, she opened a gift shop specializing in dollhouses. She later pursued a career in cosmetics, which led to a position as an account executive in the fragrance industry throughout the 1990s. Her final career was in pet sitting, where she found particular fulfillment in caring for pets with chronic conditions, providing them with love and support when their owners were unable to do so.

• While attending Saugus High School, Donna joined the twirling team, where she met the late Peter D. Dixon, a trumpet player. They married in 1961, raised three children, and settled in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, where they lived for many years.

• Donna is survived by her sister, Juleen Scourtas Stramiello, and her husband, Michael, of Clearwater, Florida; her son, Peter Dixon, and his wife, Sandra, of Rowley, Massachusetts; her son, Joseph Dixon, and his wife, Lyn, of Dawsonville, Georgia; and her daughter, Bethany Dixon, and her partner, Michael, of Gloucester, Massachusetts. She also leaves behind nine beloved grandchildren.

• Of all the roles Donna held throughout her life, being a grandmother was the one she cherished most. She was devoted to all nine of her grandchildren, remaining actively engaged in their lives and making sure to be present for every milestone, special occasion, and meaningful moment. Her love and dedication to her family were among her greatest joys.
