Edith M. Corbett, 91, a resident of Wakefield for over 60 years, died on Tuesday May 26 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.
Born in Franklin on September 14, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sylvia (Pecci) Codagnone.
Mrs. Corbett was a graduate of Franklin High School and later attended Beautician School. She was a retired hairdresser from Vogue Beauty Shop in Melrose.
Mrs. Corbett was the wife of the late Grafton B. Corbett. She was the mother of Barry Corbett and his wife Margaret of North Reading and the late Grafton and Dennis Corbett. Sister of Eva Codagnone of Wakefield, Bella Ruggiero of East Boston and the late Robert Codagnone. Grandmother of James and Kathleen Corbett of North Reading. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, Wednesday, from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be private.
