1934-2012

Northampton, MA…Edmund Robert Ciriello, of Northampton and formerly of Stoneham, passed away Thursday at home. Born in 1934 in Boston, MA, to the late Harold and Aida Ciriello. He attended Boston schools and entered the US Army in 1957 and was Honorably Discharged six weeks later being under age. The following year Ed joined the US Navy serving in Guantamano Bay in ONI as a Naval Intelligence Officer. Following his enlistment, Ed moved to New York, Chicago and California working for various Detective Agencies there as a Private Investigator. In 1974, Ed founded the Global School of Investigation which is still in operation today. Ed leaves his beloved wife, Bobbe O'Brien Ciriello of Northampton, MA, his brother Harold and his wife Billie of Salem, NH, his brother Robert and his wife Julie of Hanover, MA his sons Nicholas and Michael of Chicago, IL, his daughter Kris Dileva of Florida and nieces and nephews. The wake for Ed will be Friday Oct. 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home in Stoneham, MA. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 27 at 11 a.m. at the Ahearn Funeral Home in Northampton, MA.
