Edward Crowell

Edward F . Crowell , 70, of Wakefield died Wednesday, April 1 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Mr. Crowell was Vice President for Sales and Marketing at the Institute for Environmental Education in Wilmington, MA.

Born in the Bronx, New York on December 3, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Mary Anne (Keaney) Crowell , both natives of Co. Leitrim, Ireland and immigrants to the U.S.

Mr. Crowell was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School and The City College of New York.

Mr. Crowell is survived by his loving daughter Tracey Crowell of Lynn, his three sons; Colin Crowell of Washington D.C., Kerry Crowell of Tifton, GA, and Ryan Crowell of Honolulu, HI. He was the beloved brother of Joseph Crowell of the Bronx, NY, Anne LaPierre of Millersville, PA, William Crowell of Pasadena, CA, Margaret Crowell of Tampa, FL and Marie Sweeney of Deer Park, NY. Mr. Crowell is also survived by wonderful grandchildren and many loyal friends. He was predeceased by his brother John Crowell .

A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St, Wakefield at 10am on Monday. Family will receive relatives and friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave, Wakefield, from 3-6pm on Sunday.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701.
