Edward J. Ofcharsky

Edward J. Ofcharsky, of Wakefield, passed away on June 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 78 years old.

Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on August 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Jacob and Concetta (Castrucci) Ofcharsky.

Edward was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School, Class of 1965. He went on to graduate from Boston College in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. That same year, he married his high school sweetheart, Patricia E. Curtis.

He spent much of his career in the financial services industry, including many years with both Bank of America and BD Consulting Group. He was deeply involved in his children’s lives, serving as a coach, volunteer, and past president of Wakefield Little League. He was an avid golfer and especially enjoyed his weekly golf games with his friend Dave. He loved traveling, entertaining, and, above all, spending time with his family and friends.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia E. Curtis, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. He was the loving father of Michael Ofcharsky, Tara Christie, Nicole Calabrese and her husband, Mark, and Julie Ofcharsky. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Alexis, Caroline, James, Ian, and Nolan.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edward’s memory may be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Metro North.
