Elaine Marie Gilbertson

Elaine Marie Gilbertson, age 92, of Ipswich, formerly of Lynnfield, passed away on September 21, 2024, at the Beverly Hospital after a long illness. 

Born in Everett, MA on May 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Judge Alfred Sartorelli and the late Maria (Pascarelli) Sartorelli. 

Mrs. Gilbertson was raised in Chelsea and graduated from Colby Sawyer College. She also attended Boston University Law School. She was a longtime Lynnfield resident. She also loved Cape Cod, spending her summer days in Harwich Port. 

She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Gilbertson. She was the loving mother of Matthew Gilbertson and his wife Deborah of Lynnfield, Carla Gilbertson and her husband Gregory of McLean, VA, Christina Gilbertson and her husband Jon of Ipswich and the late John Gilbertson and his surviving wife Karou of Pittsburg, PA. She was the sister of the late Alfred and Phillip Sartorelli. She is also survived by seven grandchildren. 

Private funeral services are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
