Elizabeth Noone

Elizabeth R. "Chickie" Noone, age 86, of Stoneham died Saturday, September 10 at her daughter's home in Rowley.

Born in Somerville on August 9, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Donovan) Coneeny and the youngest of 8 children.

Chickie was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. She had been a Stoneham resident for more than 50 years and was an active parishioner of St. Patrick Church where she attended daily mass. She loved spending time in Ogunquit, ME and Hampton Beach, NH and also enjoyed attending Red Sox Spring training in Fort Meyers, FL. Above all things, Chickie was devoted to her family, faith and her many dear friends.

She was the beloved wife of the late Michael J. Noone (MA State Police Captain) who shared a wonderful 42 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of Cheryl E. McCarthy of E. Bridgewater and her partner Philip Moloney, Maureen Noone of Rowley, Susan M. Tiner and her husband Jeff of Maine, and Michael J. Noone and his wife Merly of Woburn. She is also survived by Mary Beth Ryan of Rowley, who she considered one of her daughters; as well as five cherished grandchildren. Chickie was the loving sister to Harold Coneeny and the late Margaret Cummings, Dorothy Morse, Virginia Maples, Patricia Palermo, John and Francis Coneeny. She was the sister-in-law of Gerald Noone and his wife Bridget of Burlington and Elaine Noone and her late husband George of Belmont.

The family would like to thank Winchester Hospital, Care One, and Care Dimensions Hospice for their loving care and support.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Friday at 10 am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment, Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38102.
