Eugene "Gino" LeDonne

Eugene LeDonne “Gino” passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 28, 2026 at the age of 89.

He was born on August 21, 1936, in Newton. He was the son of the late Frank and Theresa (Lenzi) LeDonne of Italy.

He graduated from Boston University with his master’s degree in engineering. He also attended Harvard and MIT. Something he was very proud of.

Eugene was the devoted husband of the late Joan Musial LeDonne.

Devoted father of Darrell E. LeDonne of Revere, Lynette O’Brien (LeDonne) and husband James, (OB) of Revere, Eugene (Butch) LeDonne of New Hampshire, Dennis LeDonne and wife, Kim of Stoneham. Diane Lirakis and husband David of Tewksbury, Debi Aliberti and husband Vincent of Stoneham, Michele Borenstein and husband Bobby of Stoneham.

Devoted grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 13.

Loving brother of Sylvia Cannatelli and husband Frank of Malden, Arsenio LeDonne and wife Paula of Malden, John LeDonne and wife Rosemary of New Hampshire. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gino’s life was grounded in his faith and his family. The two pillars that guided everything he did.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Monday, June 1 at 10am. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gino’s memory can be made to St. Patrick’s Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, MA 02180.
