Florence Grace Rummel

Florence G (Williams) Rummel passed away peacefully Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 with her three sons by her side. 

Born February 10, she was the daughter of Charles Williams and Sarah (Lyons) Williams.  

Florence, a deeply devoted Catholic, began working as an AT&T operator where she met her future husband of 77 years. She was the devoted wife of SMSgt Robinson (Bob) Rummel, USAF Ret., and happiest surrounded by her immediate family including hermany brothers and sisters, Nieces and nephews - but especially in her role as grandmother and mother of her three sons, Robert, David and Scott. "Bob" and "Flo" were avid square dancers for decades and traveled extensively enjoying the music and comradery of their many New England dancing friends as well as their dancing friends and neighbors of the Strawberry Squares dance community in Plant City. 

Florence was predeceased by her husband Robinson (Bob), her bothers Charlie, George and Francis, her sisters Lil, Charlotte, and Gladis. She is survived by her three sons Robert and his wife Linda, David and his wife Phoenix, and Scott. Her grandchildren Stephanie (Rummel) Morrisey and her husband Ryan, Eric Rummel, Julia (Rummel) Hamdan and her husband Khaled, Sarah Benton-Rummel and her husband Dane, and her great granddaughter Elora Hamdan. 

Family and friends are invited to the Graveside Service at Wood End Cemetery, 33 Franklin St.,  Reading, MA on Saturday August 22, at 11 a.m.
