G. Dwight Moore

G. Dwight Moore, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024 at Beverly Hospital, Beverly, Massachusetts.  Dwight was born in Newton, Massachusetts on February 29, 1940 and was the late son of George Bacon Moore and Alice McKeown Moore of Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
   
Dwight graduated from The Middlesex School in 1958 and went on to graduate from Hiram College in 1962.  Spending most of his life in the Pittsburgh area, Dwight had a long career in commercial real estate working for various companies the last of which was managing both the Pittsburgh and Harrisburg offices of C.B. Richard Ellis.  

Dwight was a former member of Sewickley Presbyterian Church and Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania. He was also an adept athlete and lover of the outdoors spending much time fly fishing, shooting skeet and maintaining his scratch handicap on the golf course at either Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley, Pennsylvania or Rolling Rock Country Club in Ligonier, Pennsylvania.

Dwight is predeceased by late wife Katharine L. Griswold and is survived by daughter, Elise Moore Kelley, son George Dwight Moore III, son John Thornton Brodhead Moore, and sister Judith M. Babb.  

A private family funeral will be held in Dwight’s memory at the McDonald Funeral Home in Wakefield Massachusetts.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ducks Unlimited at ducks.org in Dwight’s honor.
