Gene A. Moulton

Gene A. Moulton, age 89 of Wakefield died September 5, 2026 in Boston.

He was born October 3, 1936 and was the son of the late Amile J. and Margaret C. (Petingill) Moulton.

Gene was retired from the travel industry where he worked as a tour guide for many years. He was raised in Maine and spent his early years on his family’s farm. He went on to work in education and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree and went on to serve in the Boston School Department. Mr. Moulton was a very active member of the Wakefield community. He served on many organizational boards including AARP Income Tax Preparation, Immigration Learning Center, and Boston by foot.

He was the twin brother of the late John Moulton. He is survived by many friends including Edward Lever, Yonis Medina, Donna and Peter Hamer, Scott Gorman, and Arthur Thompson.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday September 11 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be private.
