George William Anderson Jr., a dedicated Navy veteran and retired Massachusetts state police officer, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025 at the age of 82 .
He was born on October 8, 1942 in Quincy Massachusetts. After retiring he moved to Sarasota Florida, where he resided for the last 30+ years.
After proudly serving in the US Navy, George transitioned to a fulfilling career in Law enforcement where he dedicated over 20 years to ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities he served. He served with honor and integrity throughout his distinguished career.
George was a beloved husband of the late Victoria Domenicello-Anderson. Loving father to the predeceased George William Anderson III, his daughter, Kimberly Baker, and her husband Doug of Milton, daughter, Jacqueline Snow and her partner MartinPeterson and his son Donald Anderson. Brother of Beverly Donahue and her husband Paul of Braintree. Also survived by and held close to his heart were his seven grandchildren, his great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Georges’ passion for riding brought together, countless friends and unforgettable memories on the open road. He rode with pride side-by-side with the fellow members of the Blue Knights law enforcement motorcycle club.
His Funeral Service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, May 2 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning prior to the service from 10am to 12pm. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
