Glenn A. DeRosa

Glenn Arthur DeRosa, 68, of Lynnfield, Massachusetts, passed away on October 1, 2026. He was born on February 20, 1958, in Malden, Massachusetts, to Theresa and Arthur DeRosa, and grew up in Lynnfield alongside his brothers, Alan and John. Glenn attended Lynnfield High School and Salem State University.

Glenn took his faith very seriously. He dedicated his life to spreading the word about the peace you receive by knowing Jesus.

A kind and selfless man, Glenn was known for his infectious laugh and his willingness to help everyone. He was deeply devoted to his family and was happiest when spending time with them. He enjoyed watching the New England Patriots, attending church, and cheering on his sons as they played sports. Glenn was also heavily involved with multiple churches throughout his life, reflecting his strong faith and commitment to serving others.

Those who knew Glenn will remember his warmth, generosity, and genuine care for the people around him. He had a way of bringing joy to every conversation, often punctuating his reactions with his familiar expression, “Unbelievable.”

Glenn is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen DeRosa; his sons, Matt DeRosa and his wife, Justina, of Reading, and Patrick DeRosa and his fiancée, Briana, of Lynnfield; and his beloved granddaughter, Alena DeRosa, daughter of Matt and Justina, who brought him the special joy of becoming a grandfather for the first time. Alena brought tremendous joy to his life and he was especially proud to teach Alena one of her first words, Jesus. He is also survived by his brother, John DeRosa, and his fiancée, Ilene Hawk, of Framingham; his sister-in-law, Anna DeRosa; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Glen was predeceased by his parents, Artie and Teresa DeRosa, of Lynnfield; his brother, Alan DeRosa, formerly of Arizona; his nephew, Jimmy DeRosa; and his dear friends, Bill Winter and Teri Hall.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, cousins, church communities, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St., Lynnfield on Wednesday, October 14 at 12pm. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held in the church prior to the mass beginning at 10am. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
