Guillermo Bachiller

Guillermo N. "William" Bachiller, age 72, of Wakefield passed away July 14, 2022 at the Care One in Beverly.

Born in New York, NY on July 18, 1949 he was the son of the late Guillermo and Catherine (Hannibal) Bachiller.

Bill was raised in New York City and upon graduating high school went on to receive his bachelor's degree. He began a career working in Insurance and met his future wife at work. Together they moved from New York to Wakefield Massachusetts. Bill's career path changed to High Tech at Wang, Inc and later in his career path he became a Spanish teacher at the Kennedy Woburn Middle School until his retirement.

Bill was a lifelong learner, an active parishioner of St. Agnes Church in Reading, and was also very involved in the Big Brother Big Sisters Organization. He was well travelled and enjoyed vacationing with his wife, taking cruises to celebrate big milestones and also travelling to Puerto Rico to visit family. He was a devoted son and son-in-law and served as a caretaker to his family when his health allowed.

He was the husband of Yvette (Otero) Bachiller with whom he shared 41 years of marriage with his loving and caring wife. He was the proud father of Jose Antonio Bachiller and his wife Sheena of Wakefield and daughter Franchesca Pierre Louis and her husband Herve of Melrose. He was the proud grandfather of Jaiven Bachiller and Andre Pierre Louis. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his nephew who he raised as a son, Jason Bachiller, as well as his brother Edward Bachiller and his late wife Ida. Bill is also survived by many close cousins scattered throughout the country.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Agnes Church, 186 Woburn St., Reading on Thursday, July 21 at 10:30am. Interment to follow at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, July 20 from 4-7pm.
