Harold Francis LeSage

Harry Francis LeSage, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15th at Life Care Center in Stoneham.

Harry was born on January 1, 1935 at the New England Sanitarium and Hospital on the same grounds as the Life Care Center. His parents were the late Norman Joseph LeSage and Gertrude Agnes Brothers.

Harry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share his stories, his laughter and his faithful heart.

Harry was a lifelong resident of Stoneham. He attended St. Patrick Grammar School and St. Patrick High School. When St. Patrick High School closed after his junior year, he entered and graduated from Stoneham High School, Class of 1953.

Harry proudly served his country in the Air Force for ten years. He was stationed in Munich, Germany and then Phalsbourg, France during the Cold War. After his honorable discharge, Harry worked in Europe for Occidental Insurance. Upon his return to Stoneham in the 1970s, Harry went on to enjoy a long career at the Post Office before retiring.

Harry was very well known throughout the town of Stoneham on his daily rounds. He visited the Stoneham Public Library, often several times during the week. He was known for his passion for movies. The Stoneham Senior Center offered Harry support. Harry made daily trips to the post office, town hall, bank and convenience store. He concluded these visits with coffee and companionship at Kennedy’s Cafe.

Harry had a quick smile, a hearty “hello” and a polite inquiry about your family for all those he met.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, MA, Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 10AM. Interment to follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan-Anderson Funeral Home, Stoneham.
