Helen E. Duncan

Helen E. Duncan, 94, of Salem, New Hampshire, formerly a longtime resident of Saugus, MA died on Friday, April 24 at The Inn at Fairview in Hudson, New Hampshire.

Born in Saugus on June 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alexandra (Parsons) Conrad.

Mrs. Duncan was raised and educated in Saugus. She was a retired lead receptionist for the New England Memorial Hospital in Stoneham. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the 7th Day Advent Church in Stoneham. She was an avid viewer of the Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and loved flea markets and yard sales. She also always had and took great care of her Christmas cactus. Mrs. Duncan, above all, cherished get togethers with family and friends at her home in Saugus.

She was the wife of the late Albert E. Duncan. Mrs. Duncan is survived by her three daughters: Linda Berthold and her husband Curt Williams of North Carolina, Nancy Saxton and her husband Warren of Salem, New Hampshire and Donna McCarthy of South Carolina. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and her 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Albert Conrad and her sister Marjorie Dawson.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, April 29th from 5-7pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:30am at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody, MA.
