Jacquelyn J. "Jackie" Maher

Jacquelyn J. Maher, age 84 of Wakefield, MA passed away on Saturday, June 20, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, MA.

She was born in Everett, MA on January 28, 1942, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bernice (Fale) Nason.

Jackie was the beloved wife of the late Alexander Maher, and loving mother of Anastasia Maher of Wakefield, Rebecca Maher of Melrose, and James Maher and his wife Gillian of California. She was the cherished grandmother of Katie Brown Willcox and her husband Johnny, Jolie Maher, and David and John Maher. Jackie was also the sister of the late Robert Nason and his wife Lisa of Lee, MA, and of the late Jean Prendergast and her husband Jim of Braintree, MA. She is also survived by or preceded in death (as noted) by in-laws John and Maryellen Maher, Phil and the late Genevieve McCullough, Jim and the late Maureen O’Brien, the late Jim and Rosemary Maher, the late Kathleen and Dick Sweeney, and the late Richard and Avery Maher, and a plethora of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, MA on Thursday, June 25 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Lazarus Center for Healing Shrine (St. Florence Church), 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield, MA on Friday, June 26 at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA.
