Janet Bringola, age 89 of Brooksby Village, formerly of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 30.
She was born in Woonsocket, RI on May 27, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Jules and Sybil (Marsh) Philie. She is predeceased by her loving partner of 45 years, Matthew Kelley.
Janet was full of spunk, optimism and had a great sense of humor. She loved her dear friends, enjoyed gardening, cooking and trading recipes, sharing a good bottle of wine with those around her, traveling to the best snorkeling spots, river cruises, zip lines in Costa Rica and traveling around the world with her partner, friends and children. She was always up for an adventure.
She was a great tennis player, an avid reader with her book club and received much joy from photographing New England nature scenes, creating floral arrangements and stunning gardens, socializing with friends at Ferry Beach, camping in Acadia and spending time with her family.
Janet grew up in Wakefield. She and her previous husband Tom, raised their four children (Diane, Susan, Thomas and Karen) in Reading / Wakefield. She is the grandmother to 8 grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the UU church in Reading, MA and had a full and adventurous life with her partner Matt. She is celebrated by those who knew her. She will be sorely missed.

Funeral Services will be private and are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield
