Janet Heyner

Janet L . Heyner , 77, a Tewksbury resident since 1973 and formerly of Wakefield died on Sunday, Sept. 11 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford.

Born in Stoneham on September 22, 1934 she was the daughter of the late J. Merritt and Emily (Wengen) Wenzel.

Janet was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1952 and Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing. She had worked as a Registered Nurse at the Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Winchester Hospital and Harvard Health Clinic in Chelmsford. During the Korean Conflict she served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

Janet was the sister of Roger M. Wenzel and his wife Jean of Wakefield and the aunt of Kenneth M. Wenzel of Freetown, NH, and Wayne M. Wenzel of Wakefield. She was the grand aunt of Jennifer E. and Kenneth R. Wenzel Jr.

Funeral services were private. Arrangements were in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
