Janet M. Starble

Janet M. Starble (Meehan) of Melrose passed peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Stoneham at 94.

Janet was a one of a kind hot ticket who enjoyed life to the fullest wearing funky glasses, crocheting, playing bingo and the lottery, gambling at casinos and tending to her squares during Super Bowl. She went camping, attended many concerts, Rod Steward being her favorite, watched tv 24/7, gave ole Santa a run for his money at Christmas time and traveled at any and all opportunities. She was also a dedicated, hard worker who retired from Analog Devices as a materials handler.

She is survived by her children Stephen Dennis and his wife Margi of Saugus, Michael Dennis and his partner Michelle Sullivan of Woburn, Cheryl Dennis of Westford, and Timothy Dennis of Hudson. She was blessed with an abundance of grand and great grandchildren whom she adored, grand dogs and her very good friends Rita and Don Downey.

She was predeceased by her parents Edward Meehan and Helen (Curtin) and husbands John Starble and William J. Dennis.

Services will be private. Donations in Janet’s memory may be made to the MSPCA-Angell.
