Jeanette Mills

Jeanette A. Mills, 70, of Wakefield died on Friday April 3 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston

Born in Wakefield December 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Helen (Catine) MacDonald.

Mrs. Mills was a life long Wakefield resident. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1956. Mrs. Mills retired in 2008 from Cross Country Motor Club in Medford as a Billing Administrator. She was a member of St. Florence Parish in Wakefield.

Mrs. Mills was the beloved mother of Pamela Burnell & her husband Thomas of Reading, Michael Mills & his wife Wendy of Epping, NH, Shawn Mills of Wakefield and the late Debra Easton. She was the sister of Joan Santoro of Wakefield and Patricia Gates & her husband Peter of East Kingston, NH, sister-in-law of Peter Santoro of Tewksbury. Mrs. Mills was the grandmother of Christopher, Rachel and Melanie Burnell and Joshua, Troy and Travis Mills. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave. Wakefield on Wednesday at 9 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave. Wakefield at 10am. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 pm. Interment will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody on Thursday at am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shawn Mills Trust Fund, c/o The Saving Bank, 357 Main St, Wakefield, MA 01880 or to the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center 55 Fruit St, Boston, MA 02114.
