Jeffrey J. Casper

Jeffrey (Jeff) John Casper (64) passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 10th, 2023 with his family lovingly by his side.

Born October 21, 1958, to John and Rose Casper, Jeff grew up in Northampton, Pennsylvania with his older sister, Rita. After graduating from Northampton High School, Jeff went on to study music and percussion at Berklee College of Music. Jeff continued his passion for music even after school. Many will remember him as a skilled drummer and a devoted bandmate.

Jeff found his forever home in 2015 in Lynn, MA and enjoyed working in his backyard and spending countless hours hosting and grilling with his family and friends. He spent years reimagining and transforming his home and it was always exciting to see which room or project he was planning next. Always affable, Jeff constantly had an open-door policy and shared his home with those that he loved.

Jeff also had a love for the outdoors and was passionate about spending his weekends riding his motorcycle or exploring different hiking trails across New England, and beyond. His forever home was just footsteps away from the Lynn Woods Reservoir and became a second home to Jeff. He knew almost every trail by heart.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Rita, his wife, Sheri, his daughter Britt and her husband Matt, his son Reed and his wife, Morgan, and his five beloved grandchildren, Kensington, Grayson, Charlie, Owen, and Brooks. Jeff was an incredible brother, husband, father, and grandfather (poppa).   

His visitation will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, September 15 from 10am-12pm. Graveside Service will be private. 

Jeff touched the lives of so many and he will be missed dearly by friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s name can be made to the Mass General Brigham Cancer Center Danvers at giving.massgeneral.org and select Cancer Center.
