Jerome C. Altieri

Jerome C. Altieri, 80, of Wakefield, MA, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday August 19, 2026 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. He was a lifelong resident of Wakefield.

Jerome (Jerry) was a graduate of Wakefield High School class of 1964. He was in the Seabees Division in the U.S. Navy, on the USS Suribachi an ammunition ship. He was a Crane Operator in Local 4, member of the International Union of Operating Engineers for 55 years. He was also a member of the Wakefield Firefighters Auxiliary in 1970's. Jerry enjoyed traveling the world hunting, especially his annual trips to Nova Scotia deer hunting. Jerry always enjoyed a big lobster feast.

Jerome C. Altieri was the son of the late Annabelle E. (Eldredge) Altieri and Jerome S. Altieri of Wakefield, father of Peter A. Altieri of Wakefield and Michael J. Altieri of Beverly, brother of Kaye J. Altieri and her wife Donna M. Tecce of Wakefield, grandfather of Skye C. Fauvel of Pelham, NH, Benjamin M. Altieri of Georgetown and Liam D. Altieri of Beverly.  He is also survived by many cousins and extended family.

There will be a graveside service, Monday, August 24th, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Lakeside Cemetery, 501 North Ave, Wakefield, MA.
