John F. "Jack" Richard

John F. “Jack” Richard, age 69 of Peabody, died peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday February 14 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

He was born in Peabody on December 2, 1953, and was the son of the late Yoland and Clare (Marchand) Richard.

Jack grew up in Peabody before moving to Salem. He was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1972. Jack was a longtime employee at Masconomet Health Care Center. He loved his job working with all the people. He had a passion for cooking, and he was excellent at it. He enjoyed gardening, music (especially Pink Floyd), vacationing with his family in the White Mountains, the Wakefield 4th of July Parade and their marching bands, and playing card games such as Uno and Kitty Whist. Jack’s biggest accomplishment was being a great dad and grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke.

He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Sibelli) Richard. He was the loving father of Nicole Richard and her partner Shawn Gallant of Wakefield, and the step-father of Daniel Keefe and his wife Deborah of Haverhill. He was the grandfather of Lincoln, and step grandfather of Justin, Ashlie, and Jenna. Jack was the brother of David Richard and his wife Pauline of Niceville, Florida and Alice Carter and her husband David of Plaistow, New Hampshire. He also leaves behind Sister in-law Nancy Sibelli of Wakefield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family in their time of need. A Celebration of Life will be announced later.
Funeral Services are private and in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
