Judi Brown, 81, a lifelong resident of Wakefield, died Monday, March 30th, at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital.
Born in Melrose, July 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Ahern) Amato.
Judi was multi-talented having enjoyed and excelled at some of the following careers throughout her lifetime. After graduating Wakefield High School, class of 1962, Judi started a career has a Hairdresser working here in Wakefield at Aldo’s Salon. She was a longtime employee of Brown’s Paint and Wallpaper. Then later worked in Sales for the Wakefield Daily Item and Reading Chronicle until she retired. During retirement she found her passion and became a Master Woodcarver having won multiple awards for her wood carvings.
Judi was the loving mother to her daughter Dena Brown of Fort Payne, AL; son Chris Brown, and wife Tara of Hampton Falls, NH. Wife to the late Chester Brown.
She is survived by her sister, Donna Filippone and husband Andy of Wakefield, and also by two generations of nieces and nephews that she enjoyed spending time with.
Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., on Monday April 6, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
