Katelyn J. Veglia, age 37, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester, NH on November 29, 2025. Born on January 24, 1988, in Winchester, MA she was the beloved daughter of Frank and Barbara R. (Roughan) Veglia.

Katelyn grew up in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School, Class of 2006. She cherished time with her family and friends vacationing in Freedom, NH, where she embraced the outdoors through activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and four-wheeling. A great lover of the water, Katelyn often enjoyed boating on Lake Ossipee and loved walking along the beach, capturing the beauty of the ocean and hot air balloons through her photography. Her adventurous spirit was reflected in her love for taking rides in her red Jeep Wrangler. Katelyn also had a deep affection for animals, especially her dog, Sam, and loved taking her son, Cameron, on experiences that brought them close to various creatures.

Katelyn’s professional career began at the age of 15 with roles at both the Reading Housing Authority and most recently, the Malden Housing Authority. Katelyn went on to buy a house in Merrimack, NH where she resided with her son.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her cherished son, Cameron Veglia, the love of her life, of Merrimack, NH. She was the adored granddaughter of Frank and Virginia Veglia and the late Bernice Roughan. She was the niece of Marie Ferguson, David Veglia, Sharon Hoover, Michael Veglia, and the late Betty Rodriguez, Tom Roughan, and Patty Cardinale. She was the dear cousin of Tom Roughan, Kelly Devine, Zach Roughan, Danny Roughan, Gia Franco, Michele Veglia, Jaime Veglia, Jason Hoover, Peter Hoover, and Lynn Rodriguez. She is also survived by biological father, Kevin Iosua; her brothers, Zackery and Christopher Iosua; as well as many other loving extended family by way of aunts, uncles and cousins in the Veglia, Roughan, and Iosua families. She is also survived by her closest friends, Kristine, Carolyn, Chrissy, MaryBeth, and Jackie, who were the sisters she never had.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, MA on Sunday, December 7 from 11am-1pm.
