Kathryn A. Connelly

Kathryn A. Connelly, age 71, of Peabody, formerly of Wakefield, passed away at the Salem Hospital on January 20, 2026.

Born in Stoneham on July 20, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Richard J. and Thomasine M. (Wallace) Connelly.

Kathryn was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1972. She was a member of St. Joseph Church Color Guard and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a past District 18 President of the VFW Auxiliary and past President of Wakefield Post 2106. She was a current President of Melrose Post 2394. She had been a member of the MA VFW Auxiliary Color Guard for over 50 years. Kathryn was an associate member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 875. She enjoyed travelling and spending time on Cape Cod.

She was the sister of Edward Connelly of West Wareham, Ann Montgomery of Wakefield and the late Richard E. Connelly. She was the sister-in-law of Dana Montgomery of Washington. She was the aunt of Madison Connelly and Kathryn and John Montgomery. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Pumpkin.

Her Funeral Services will be private. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield.
