Kevin J. Hanna

Kevin J. Hanna, aged 75, of Stoneham, passed away peacefully at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on October 29, following a period of declining health.

Born in Boston, Kevin was the cherished son of the late Albert J. and Helen (Klempa) Hanna.

Kevin enjoyed his 32-year career as an electrical designer at Metcalf & Eddy, where he later transitioned into a role in CADD department following the company’s acquisition by AECOM Technology Corporation. He dedicated many years to the information technology field, ultimately retiring in 2012.

In 1997, he married the love of his life, Katie, and together they built a warm and loving home in Stoneham, where they raised their family. Kevin delighted in family game nights, cherished vacations, and the countless hours spent carpooling with his children. He was a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, and he loved attending his son’s track meets, baseball, basketball and soccer games.

Kevin is remembered as a beloved husband, to Katherine “Katie” (Burke) Hanna, a caring father to Ryan and Samuel, and a cherished brother to Richard Hanna and his wife Carol of Dedham, Kaaren Winters and her husband Theodore of Norwood, and Francis Hanna and his late wife Bernice of Walpole. He was also predeceased by his brothers Scott and Allan Hanna. He is survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
