Lauri J. Brennan, age 60, a lifelong Wakefield resident, passed away on January 28, 2026 after a long battle with failing health.
Born in Winchester on August 5, 1965 she was the daughter of Jane M. (Folkard) Haley of Wakefield and the late Warren “Skip” Haley.
Lauri was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1984. She spent her career in the insurance industry, beginning her journey as an insurance adjuster at Kemper Insurance, where she devoted 20 years of her life, followed by 21 years at CCMSI. Lauri loved traveling locally, especially to North Conway, New Hampshire and Ogunquit, Maine and the annual summer vacation on Cape Cod. She and her husband, Chris had also enjoyed a recent cruise to Bermuda which left many cherished memories.
An avid Boston Bruins fan, Lauri brought joy to her family and friends by hosting her annual Fourth of July backyard BBQ at her home, which is located on the parade route in Wakefield. Her love for family was evident as she cherished spending time with her husband, siblings, and many nieces and nephews. Lauri valued the simple joys of life, especially the occasional cheeseburger from Kelly’s Roast Beef.
In addition to her mother, Lauri is survived by her beloved husband, Christopher Brennan, with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. She is also survived by her siblings, Leslie Kaine and her husband Steven of Reading, Paul Haley and his partner, Belynda Bady of Tewksbury, David Haley and his wife Michelle of Tewksbury, and Scott Haley and his wife Lisa of Wakefield; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Tuesday, February 3 at 10am. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Monday, February 2 from 4-7pm. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
