Leona Hajny

Leona Hajny, 77, of Stoneham died on Thursday, February 5 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Somerville on May 19, 1931 she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Stone) Wharf.

Mrs. Hajny was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Woburn. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham and was active in the Senior Center in Stoneham.

Mrs. Hajny was the wife of the late James L. Hajny. She is survived by her two sons, James Hajny of Missouri and Eric Hajny of Stoneham. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren. Mrs. Hajny was the oldest of 8 children and is survived by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

A memorial mass was celebrated in St. Patrick Church in Stoneham on Tuesday February 10.

Arrangments were in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home in Stoneham.
