Leona Hajny

Leona Hajny , 77, of Stoneham died on Thursday, February 5 at the Winchester Hospital.

Born in Somerville on May 19, 1931 she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Stone) Wharf.

Mrs. Hajny was a graduate of St. Charles High School in Woburn. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Stoneham and was active in the Senior Center in Stoneham.

Mrs. Hajny was the wife of the late James L. Hajny . She is survived by her two sons, James Hajny of Missouri and Eric Hajny of Stoneham. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren. Mrs. Hajny was the oldest of 8 children and is survived by 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

A memorial mass was celebrated in St. Patrick Church in Stoneham on Tuesday February 10.

Arrangments were in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home in Stoneham.
