Lillian Nutile

Lillian L. Nutile, 92, of Wakefield died on Wednesday February 11 in Newbury surrounded by family.

Born in Lynn on April 4, 1916 she was the daughter of the late Adolf W. and Lily Anderson.

Mrs. Nutile was raised in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, later graduating from the Lynn Hospital School of Nursing in 1937 as a Registered Nurse. She went on to work as a nurse at the Lynn Hospital before retiring in 1994 at the age of 78. She loved traveling and spoke fluent Swedish. She also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, and was an avid bingo player. Countless cherished memories with family and friends were created at her Plum Island summer home of 59 years. There, Mrs. Nutile loved fishing and boating, and soaking up the sun.

Mrs. Nutile was the wife of the late Albert Nutile. She is survived by her son John D. Nutile & wife Patti of Newbury; and her three daughters Linda G. Jensen & husband Wally of Amesbury, Donna M. O'Hare & husband Francis of Melrose, and Alberta A. Nutile of Newbury. She was a devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, John, Kristen, Stephen and Kevin; three foster grandchildren, Dhieu, Gabriel and Mach; and five great grandchildren, Steven, David, Makayla, Ava Mae and Paxton. She is also survived by her cousin Margith Gylling of Sweden. Mrs. Nutile was predeceased by her sister Margaret Fisher.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 pm to 8 pm, at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield with funeral services to be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are welcomed. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn.
