Madeline Johnston

Madeline P. Johnston of Stoneham, age 104 died August 22 in Winchester. Born in Malden on October 22, 1903 she was the daughter of the late Walter & Elizabeth (McCarthy) Moore. Mrs. Johnston was raised in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. She had been a long time resident of Winchester before making her home in Stoneham.

She was the wife of the late John J. Johnston. She is survived by her son John J. Johnston, Jr. of Stoneham. She was also the grandmother of John J. Johnston, III of NH and the late Lois Hutchins and the great grandmother of Kimberly Hutchins of Stoneham. She is pre-deceased by her two brothers, Roger & Howard Moore and her sister Ruby Moore.

Visitation will be held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home 322 Main St. Stoneham on Friday September 5 from 11:AM to 12 Noon followed by a Graveside Service at the Lindenwood Cemetery on Montvale Ave. Stoneham
