Mario is survived by his loving wife, Carol (Rolli) D’Angelo, with whom he shared 25 wonderful years of marriage; his adoring parents, Mario and Gabriella Rita (Ciancio) D’Angelo; his sister, Marilena Light and her husband Michael of Malden; his niece, Melissa Light and her fiancé Justin Lamoureaux; his nephew, Michael Light; and the entire Rolli family, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins both here and in Italy.
Mario was born in Malden on May 22, 1959 and raised and educated there. He was a graduate of Pope John High School, Class of 1977. He loved entertaining family and friends during backyard pool parties and barbeques, impromptu trips to Mohegan Sun and Vegas, and car races, like the Monaco Grand Prix.
As a first-generation Italian, Mario loved his Italian culture and enjoyed trips back to Italy, where his family still maintains a residence; even getting married in his parent’s hometown of Orsogna, Italy. He was also able to take a trip to the Ferrari factory in Italy; a true-life highlight, as Mario was a proud member of the Ferrari Club.
